Abhijit started his career with Deutsche Bank; working in the area of Corporate Banking, focusing on the MNC client-base of the Bank. However, his need to get personal experience with running a business and as well as offer hands-on support to corporate transformation, prompted him to co-found Vernalis. Since then he has participated in executing over 200 projects of which he has been the project leader for over a 100 projects.

Abhijit has developed strong expertise in key Vernalis service areas: Competency Mapping, Talent management, Design and implementation of Performance Management systems, Assessment-Development Centers, and the Implementation of HR systems. He has a broad understanding of the use and application of a range of psychometric instruments. He is a seasoned assessor with deep empathy for candidates and outstanding Assessment skills. Abhijit has set competitive benchmarks in critical reasoning and observation skills performances which astonish participants in skill building workshops and he is a favourite with all MBAs and Trainee Assessors who attend his Critical Reasoning skill building workshops.

He combines his excellent analytical skills with an innate ability to manage client situations in a balanced manner. He is fondly recalled as an outstanding coach by numerous Senior Managers who have had the opportunity of being coached by him in Senior Management Development Centers, where his quiet manners and technical mastery have dissolved the resistance of many participants twice his age. Abhijit achieves great success in tricky transformation situations with his intelligence, humility, openness and commitment to fairness.

His interests and contribution in Vernalis ranges from finance and strategy to research and project execution. Abhijit is a keen researcher and has contributed extensively to the maturing of the Assessment and Development practice at Vernalis. His contribution to developing of the path-breaking CORE method as well as in the systematizing of the assessment process (notably for Senior & Middle management Development Centers), has won several plaudits from clients for Vernalis. He has also contributed to the design and deployment of over 60 high-quality Simulations at Vernalis.

Reserved by preference, Abhijit is highly talented and multifaceted: a University topper in college, he is a talented writer and also naturally gifted at sports which include skiing, swimming and cricket.

Bharat Grover, is one of the founding partners of Vernalis. He is a post graduate in Physics from IIT Madras and the winner of numerous awards and scholarships (including 2 from the Govt of India at the National level). He has over 17 years of Consulting Experience and brings significant Maturity and expertise to the client.

Bharat has participated or led the execution of over 200 client projects, often with the CEO, board of directors, or CXOs of leading Indian firms, including on Transformation, Visioning, Strategy, restructuring, CXO coaching & development.

In particular, his work on the difficult task of Org Transformation has received praise from all quarters for the ethical handling of difficult issues and an ability to simplify complex or ambiguous contexts by offering simple practical solutions.

He has a strong interest, rich experience and deep commitment to the entire Developmental spectrum (covering individuals, groups, and organisations in a variety of competencies and contexts) and will spare neither expense nor effort or time in achieving results as a coach. An aspect that has earned him much admiration in the tough world of Sr managers. Bharat has participated, facilitated and spoken in several conferences both in India and Abroad. He has presented papers in NIPM (pune), Kalpatha (Cochin) and in two AHRD International Conferences in Bangalore and Bangkok.

He is the first author of 2 research papers and the co-author in 1 other paper. His Research on the Transformation of India Inc, which gave a ringside view of the transformative churning of Indian manufacturing firms in post liberalisation India, was very well received and remains a starting point for research and perspective in this area.

He is also a good sportsman: a swimmer, skier and footballer; and strong supporter of several social causes.

Dr. Charles B. “Chuck” Corbin is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Exercise and Wellness at Arizona State University. He has published more than 200 journal articles and has authored (or co-authored) more than 90 books. His books are the most widely adopted public school and college texts in the area of fitness and wellness. Dr. Corbin is internationally recognized as an expert in physical activity, health, and wellness promotion, and youth physical fitness. He is a past President and Emeritus Fellow of the National Academy of Kinesiology, a Fellow in the North American Society for Health Physical Education Recreation and Dance Professionals, an ACSM Fellow, and a life member and Honor Fellow of AAHPERD. His awards include the Healthy American Fitness Leaders Award [President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition-PCFSN and National Jaycees]; Distinguished Service Award of the PCFSN; and the Honor Award, Physical Fitness Council Honor Award, Hanson Award, and the Alliance Scholar Award [AAHPERD]. He received distinguished alumnus awards from the University of New Mexico (Centennial Scholar) and the University of Illinois (Distinguished Alumnus). He served for more than 20 years as a member of the Advisory Board of Fitnessgram and was the first chair of the Science Board of the President’s Council [PCFSN]. He served as a member of an Institute on Medicine (IOM) committee for youth fitness testing. He was selected to the National Association of Sports and Physical Education [NASPE] Hall of Fame and in 2009 Dr. Corbin was chosen for the Gulick Award, the highest award of AAHPERD.

Guy Le Masurier, PhD is a professor of Sport, Health and Physical Education at Vancouver Island University where he teaches physical education pedagogy, research methods, nutrition for health and sport, and several activity-based courses. Guy received his doctoral degree in Exercise & Wellness from Arizona State University and worked as an assistant professor of Kinesiology at Penn State University before returning to Vancouver Island where he grew up. Guy has conducted and published numerous studies on physical activity with youth, adult, and clinical populations. Guy was co-author of the 2004 Physical Activity Guidelines for Youth issued by the National Association for Sport and Physical Education. He is passionate about physical education pedagogy, and how it can be used to promote physical activity among children and adolescents. Dr. Le Masurier is a co-author of the award-winning Fitness for Life: High School and Middle School curricula and Fitness for Life: Elementary School curricula (www.fitnessforlife.org). Guy has just finished a 6-year term as the Associate Editor for the Epidemiology section of the journal Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, he serves as the Health Foundations editor for the International Journal of Physical Education and was recently inducted as a Fellow to AAHPERD’s Research Consortium. Guy enjoys kayaking, drumming, gardening and playing squash in his spare time. Guy and his wife, Jodi, serve their community as volunteer firefighters.

Equipped with a M.S Degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago in Athletic Administration, John is currently the Education Sales National Director at Human Kinetics Publishing, Inc., Champaign, Illinois.Working with Human Kinetics, he has contributed significantly to the publishing of textbooks; trade titles; journals; software; videos; and distance education courses in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Health Education, Kinesiology, Performing Arts, Physical Fitness, Recreation, Sports Management, Sports Medicine.He has also worked as a faculty with the Athletic Graduate Administration Faculty. He has been the Head coach for Basketball, Golf and has also assisted in Football Coaching.

Scott Wikgren is the Director of the Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (HPERD) Division at Human Kinetics. His focus is on the acquisitions and development of new resources and programs that help children and young adults develop the skills, knowledge, fitness, and appreciation needed for living physically active, healthy lives.

Scott has been with Human Kinetics since May 1987. In addition to his duties at Human Kinetics, he has also been an active speaker on health and fitness and has presented at over 15 state and national conferences. He has also written numerous articles on the subject. In 2006 he received the AAHPERD Honor Award for his service to the health, physical education, recreation, and dance fields

Prior to joining Human Kinetics, Scott gained experience as a physical education teacher, coach, and journalist. Scott graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 1978 with degrees in Physical Education and Journalism
